Ke Devries Company Ltd Board of Trustees paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry to strengthen collaboration on environmental conservation and climate resilience initiatives.

The team was received by Dr. Eng. Festus Ng'eno, Principal Secretary for Environment and Climate Change, and Mr. George Tarus, Secretary for Forest Development (also Acting Secretary for Forest Conservation), who is leading key national initiatives such as the 15 Billion Tree Growing Campaign and the National Agroforestry Strategy (2025–2035).

Discussions focused on the conservation of Lake Victoria and its critical water towers, including the Mau Forest Complex and riverine ecosystems, as well as opportunities for ecosystem restoration and agroforestry partnerships.

Also present was Dr. Jesse Omondi Owino, a climate change scientist, who underscored the importance of science-based approaches to sustain ecosystems and livelihoods.
