What started as a small agribusiness initiative has blossomed into a trusted, farmer-first enterprise serving the vast counties of Kenya. With first-hand knowledge of the real struggles faced by smallholder farmers; from unreliable rainfall to lack of access to quality inputs; Ke Devries was founded to offer more than just products. We increase food production and reduce post-harvest losses by scaling access to critical farm inputs. This boosts availability of nutritious food, improves quality of produce, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions tied to food waste.
We promote the use of high-quality seeds, fertilizers, and climate-smart practices to improve crop yields and overall farm performance across Kenya's key agro-ecological zones.
Higher yields and better-quality produce increase farmers' income while enhancing their market competitiveness. Our programs create employment opportunities; particularly for people with disability, women and youths; across production, processing, and distribution chains.
Through farmer schemes and equipment support (e.g. tractors), we enhance farmers' productivity and financial profiles. This strengthens their ability to access loans and invest in long-term growth.
We connect smallholder farmers to reliable buyers, cooperatives, and aggregators, while promoting financial literacy and negotiation skills to improve market access and income stability.
Partnering with national initiatives like KCEP, we support farmers in high-impact value chains such as maize, sorghum, beans, soya, poultry, dairy, aquaculture and horticulture, ensuring improved incomes and better integration into the agricultural economy.
Our field officers offer year-round, hands-on training in key areas such as fertilizer application, planting techniques, land preparation, pest management, post-harvest handling, crop storage, poultry keeping, handling aquaculture and dairy cattle management; empowering farmers with knowledge for success.
Ke Devries specializes in last-mile delivery, ensuring that even the most remote and marginalized farmers access vital inputs and services on time and at their doorstep, overcoming logistical barriers.
