Roy Otieno Odongo

Roy Otieno Odongo serves as the Climate Resilience Advisor at Ke Devries, where he leads initiatives in climate change mitigation, adaptation, and carbon market strategies. With more than a decade of experience in sustainability and climate policy within the public sector, Roy has consistently advanced climate legislation, planning, and governance at both county and national levels, developing a comprehensive expertise in climate mitigation and resilience.

He earned an M.A. in Environmental Policy from the University of Nairobi and holds a B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Egerton University. This academic foundation allows him to effectively connect agricultural development with sound environmental policy. Throughout his career, Roy has made significant contributions to Kenya's national climate reporting.

He has provided technical expertise for the development of key national documents, such as Kenya's Third National Greenhouse Gas Inventory and the first Biennial Transparency Report submitted to the UNFCCC in 2024, ensuring the fulfillment of Kenya's international obligations. Roy's professional strengths include climate finance and carbon project development, highlighted by his ability to design carbon offset projects and navigate climate financing frameworks.
